Dr John Stuart, Jr. grew up in Dallas, Texas. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston, he went on to be awarded his Doctor of Optometry degree with honors in 1981 from the University of Houston’s College of Optometry. Dr Stuart is licensed to practice optometry in British Columbia, and in 1993 he was certified in ocular therapeutics by Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. He is a member of the BC Association of Optometrists.
Dr Stuart spent 19 years in private practice in Williams Lake, BC before making the move to the lower mainland in June of 2000. Since then, he has established a busy practice at the Surrey Eye Care Centre. Dr Stuart is experienced in ocular health and Low Vision treatment, as well as cataract and laser surgery co-management, children’s vision, and general optometry.
